Dr. Qi has more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, and investment. He was once the managing director of Investment Banking Department of CICC, a core member of CICC's M&A Committee, and one of the founding employees of BCG China.
The M&A and listing projects that Dr. Qi was responsible for maintained the record of the largest domestic A-share tender offer so far, the largest exclusive lead underwriting project in the world, and won "Best IPO in China" award three times. During his stay at CICC, Dr. Qi pioneered a series of major projects, including the first overseas M&A privatization project, the first M&A shell exit project, the first overseas convertible bond project, the first USD bond project, etc., and provided equity investment services for dozens of state-owned enterprises. In 2017 and 2020 Dr. Qi won the "Best M&A Deal Maker in China" award by China Mergers and Acquisitions Association.
Dr. Qi once served as a member of the Venture Capital Fund Evaluation Committee of National Development and Reform Commission's and a member of the Standing Committee of the 3rd Central Enterprise Youth Federation. Dr. Qi holds an MBA degree from Columbia University in the United States and a master's degree in economics from Fudan University in China. He is the author of "National Boundaries of Capital", translations of "Crisis and Recovery", "M&A Master", and has published papers in magazines such as reform. He is a columnist for "Caixin.com". Dr. Qi has set up "Qi Ke Zhan Scholarships" at Fudan University, Hopkins-Nanjing Center, and Columbia University in the United States.
